About the Beads
Pages from glossy magazines, manilla envelopes and old posters and calandars are carefully cut into long thin triangles and tightly rolled on to a hat pin or a stick to form a colourful bead. The beads are sorted into colourways and then carefully varnished until the glossy hard wearing and watertight beads are formed.
They are then strung up to dry before the necklaces are designed. The chunkier beads are formed by rolling two or three triangles together.
